## Methodology

Every row is a verbatim sentence read from the named source's own page through our fetch service on the date shown, hash-pinned to the stored read (the sha of the page's visible text; the raw page is mirrored to R2). 2 of the 11 named sources that could be read published a usable figure; 9 published none and are recorded as not published, never filled in; 3 could not be read (blocked, dead or unreachable) and count nowhere. The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source in GBP (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences), so N counts sources, never sentences; 24 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded. The fuller derivation this dataset is chartered to grow into (not yet what the figures above are; they are each source's own published figure as read): One row per duty per UK nation - the oil-storage regulations (England 2001, Scotland 2006, Wales 2016, Northern Ireland 2010), Approved Document J's siting and fire-separation rules, and the waste duty of care that decides who may carry the tank away - each with the CAPACITY THRESHOLD that switches it on, quoted verbatim from the instrument or the regulator's own page with its date. The derivation nobody publishes is the four-nation comparison at a single capacity: an identical 2,500-litre garden tank is caught by a different instrument, a different threshold and a different regulator depending on which side of a border it stands, and the thresholds themselves disagree (90 litres for Part J's siting rules, 201 litres at a business, 3,501 litres at a home). Changed-since is the release.
